The Westerlund Audio One is designed to feel less like something placed on top of your sound and more like an extension of it. A high end instrument preamp approach that stays true to the original signal while providing a fuller, more balanced, and dynamic tone. The One equally at home enhancing your core tone or driving into overdrive.

FET Gain Stages and Flexible Clipping

Three unique FET based opamp gain stages and a FET tone recovery stage give the One its tube like tone and feel. Three clipping modes provide a substantial range of response. Choose Hard or Soft clipping, or switch clipping Off for Amp Mode. A separate selector lets you choose Germanium or Silicon diodes, providing another way to shape how the pedal responds as you move from transparent sounds toward full on tube saturation.

Three Band EQ and Bright Dark Tone Control

Bass, Middle, and Treble controls provide a musical and responsive three band EQ for dialing the One into your instrument and the rest of your signal chain. The Bright and Dark tone selector adds another level of tonal flexibility, with Bright mode intended for normal operation. Combined with the Gain and Level controls, the EQ gives you plenty of control over the character and balance of the pedal.

Adjustable Pre Gain Boost

The adjustable Boost works before the gain stage and can be engaged independently with its own footswitch. Used in conjunction with the overdrive, it can provide anything from a subtle volume increase to pushing the sound into amp like saturation and compression. Separate indicators for the main effect and Boost make the operating status easy to see.

Westerlund One Pedal Connectivity and Controls

The One provides quarter inch instrument input and output connections along with a 9V power input. Dedicated footswitches turn the pedal and Boost on and off, while the control layout keeps Bass, Middle, Treble, Gain, Boost, and Level readily accessible. The original box and manual are included. A power supply is not included.
