Return Policy

Five Star Guitars is committed to providing quality products and clear expectations. Please review the following Return Policy carefully before initiating a return.

Return Authorization Required

All returns require prior authorization and an issued Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.

Customers must contact Five Star Guitars before returning any item. Returns sent without prior authorization or without an RMA number may be refused and returned to the sender.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for return, items must:

  • Meet all return policy requirements

  • Be received in the same condition as originally shipped

  • Include all original packaging, accessories, manuals, and documentation

Condition and eligibility are determined by Five Star Guitars staff upon receipt and inspection.

Non-Defective Returns

For returns that are not due to defect or shipping error, the customer is responsible for all shipping and handling costs, including:

  • Outbound shipping and handling charges, even if the original order included free shipping

  • Return shipping and handling charges back to Five Star Guitars

A restocking fee may apply if the item is returned outside of policy guidelines or is not received in the same condition as when it was shipped.

Defective or Incorrect Items

If an item is defective or was shipped incorrectly, customers must contact Five Star Guitars promptly so we can assist with next steps.

Eligibility for repair, replacement, or return is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Manufacturer warranties may apply and, in some cases, warranty service may be handled directly by the manufacturer.

Inspection and Condition Assessment

All returned items are inspected upon receipt.

Five Star Guitars reserves the right to determine the condition, completeness, and eligibility for refund. Items showing signs of use, wear, damage, modification, or alteration beyond original condition may be subject to:

  • Reduced refunds

  • Restocking fees

  • Return denial

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are issued after the returned item has been received and inspected.

  • Refunds are issued to the original form of payment

  • Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable

  • Processing times may vary depending on payment method and financial institution

Final Sale and Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are final sale and are not eligible for return or refund, including but not limited to:

  • All non-defective consignment items

  • Items designated as final sale at the time of purchase

  • Printed media, CDs, DVDs, opened software

  • Tubes, microphones, harmonicas, kazoos, headworn items

  • Select recording or DJ-related equipment

  • Custom or special-order items

  • Purchases made using trade-in credit (refundable only as store credit, if applicable)

  • Promotional giveaways or similar items

Final sale and non-returnable items may not be returned unless otherwise required by law or explicitly approved by Five Star Guitars.

Important Notes

Five Star Guitars reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the requirements of this Return Policy or that arrive without prior authorization.

This policy applies to purchases made directly from Five Star Guitars. Purchases made through third-party marketplaces may be subject to that platform’s return policies and procedures.
