This Cobra is a simply a force to be reckoned with. As one can imagine, we see a lot of guitars here, and this one made our collective jaws drop. First, the top is just stunning, not quite flame, not quite quilt, something entirely it's own with it's own vibe. The next thing that struck us was the weight, at just 6.83 lbs it feel great on a strap or on your lap. Lastly we played it unplugged and were blown away with how resonant and loud the guitar was unplugged. As you can imagine that was only a sign of better things to come once we plugged it in. And this guitar did not disappoint when we plugged it into an amp. Chords in the open position sound rich and lush, while single notes have gobs of sustain, and plenty of fundamental, never shrill or ice picky. Featuring a carved flame maple top paired with a solid Limba body, this short-scale beauty fuses visual sophistication with resonant warmth and power.
