There is something deeply satisfying about getting an amplifier into the part of its range where it really starts to work. The Torpedo Reload II is designed to let you explore that territory with considerably more control. Its all analog reactive load supports tube and solid state amplifiers up to 200 watts with selectable 4, 8, and 16 ohm loads, giving you a practical way to push an amplifier while managing what happens downstream.

Two Channel Active Attenuation

This is considerably more than a basic load box. The Reload II combines twin channel operation with a dual mono 215 watt per channel amplifier and attenuator. Each channel provides its own source selection, Depth and Presence controls, while continuous active attenuation lets you take the resulting cabinet level from silence to the volume required for the room. Two independent cabinet outputs make it particularly useful for players building more elaborate amplifier, cabinet, and line level rigs.

Stereo Effects Loop and Studio Routing

The routing options are where things get especially interesting. A footswitchable stereo effects loop provides Series, Parallel, Dual Mono, and A to B Link operation along with selectable send levels and a Dry and Wet Mix control. Two balanced XLR line outputs make it equally comfortable feeding a recording setup or sending a line level signal onward in a live rig. Front panel Amp In Level, cabinet volume, source selection, line output, Depth, Presence, and Mojo controls keep the important adjustments close at hand.

DynIR Cabinet and Genome Integration

For direct recording and cabinet simulation applications, the Reload II works with Genome software and DynIR cabinet emulations, including a collection of 24 virtual cabinets. That makes the unit useful well beyond straightforward volume reduction. It can sit at the center of a traditional amplifier and cabinet setup, a direct recording system, or a more involved hybrid rig.
