Built by Steggo Studios, the Dimetrodon 75 Distortion Pedal takes inspiration from the classic MXR Distortion Plus circuit while expanding its tonal capabilities with carefully chosen modifications. The result is a responsive distortion pedal that delivers everything from gritty crunch to saturated lead tones while remaining highly touch sensitive and expressive.

Big Muff Style Tone Stack for Expanded Control

The Dimetrodon incorporates a Big Muff style tone stack and gain recovery stage ahead of the output volume control. This design creates a remarkably dynamic Tone control, allowing players to dial in everything from thick, bass rich distortion to cutting, articulate highs. The 75 version features the 1975 Ram's Head voiced tone stack for its distinctive EQ character.

Boutique Construction with Unique Artwork

Every Steggo pedal is hand built, and the Dimetrodon pairs its custom circuitry with equally distinctive aesthetics. The enclosure features artwork depicting Dimetrodon, the prehistoric synapsid that inspired the pedal's name, printed over a translucent copper powder coated enclosure with black silkscreen graphics. The artwork is based on an original linocut by artist Brian Reedy and gives the pedal a look that stands apart on any pedalboard.

Condition and Included Accessories

This pre-owned example is in excellent overall condition with no visible damage. Velcro has been applied to the bottom for pedalboard mounting. The original box and manual are included. A power supply is not included.
