The Nemesis is the kind of delay that can comfortably handle the familiar stuff and then wander considerably farther when the mood strikes. Its delay engines cover classic analog and tape inspired echoes alongside digital, reverse, pitch shifting, and more atmospheric sounds. Twelve engines are available directly from the pedal, while another 14 can be accessed through the Neuro software for a total of 26 delay engines.

Analog Tape Reverse and Pitch Shifting Delays

There is plenty here for players who care about the personality of the repeats. Analog provides the warm and progressively degraded character associated with bucket brigade delay, while Tape recreates the flutter, warmth, and coloration of vintage tape echo. Other choices include Diffuse, Shifter, Helix, Reverse, Oil Can, Drum Echo, Slapback, Digital, Noise Tape, and Resonant sounds. Filtering and additional sound shaping parameters allow the repeats to sit politely behind the dry signal or become the entire point of the exercise.

Tap Tempo Stereo Delay and Freeze

An onboard tap tempo footswitch makes rhythmic delay practical onstage, with quarter note, dotted eighth, and triplet divisions available. That same switch can also freeze a small section of delayed audio into a continuous loop. Stereo inputs and outputs open the door to ping pong delays, stereo phase effects, and more elaborate signal routing, while the analog dry through path keeps the instrument's dry signal out of the digital processing.

MIDI Presets and Neuro Editing

The Nemesis provides eight presets accessible from the pedal controls and up to 128 presets through MIDI. Five pin MIDI and USB MIDI provide extensive control, including program changes, parameter control, and MIDI clock synchronization. Connecting to the Neuro platform opens additional delay engines and deeper editing, making the Nemesis equally capable of quick front panel operation or considerably more involved sound design.
