The Sire Marcus Miller V7 5 String Bass starts with a North American alder body in Black and the familiar lines of the Marcus Miller Jazz type body shape. The hard maple neck features a satin finish and comfortable C shape, paired with an ebony fingerboard with rolled edges for a smooth feel across the neck.

Marcus Miller Super J Revolution Pickups

A Marcus Miller Super J Revolution pickup set gives this V7 its voice. These pickups use USA plain enamel coil wire and 60s pickup spacing, delivering the clear and articulate character intended for this design. A pickup blender makes it easy to move between the two pickups or dial in the balance that suits the part.

Heritage 3 Active and Passive Electronics

The Marcus Heritage 3 preamp provides a substantial amount of control right from the bass. Along with volume, tone and pickup blend controls, you get treble, bass, middle and adjustable middle frequency controls. A mini toggle switches between active and passive operation, putting a broad range of sounds within easy reach.

Five String V7 Hardware and Appointments

The 34 inch scale neck is joined to the body with a four bolt steel square plate. A natural bone nut, medium frets, ivory binding and white pearloid block inlays complete the neck, while premium open gear tuners and a Marcus Miller Modern S bridge handle the hardware duties. Chrome hardware and a tortoise pickguard finish off the classic look.
