The 2005 PRS Custom 22 Stoptail 20th Anniversary combines the warmth and sustain of a mahogany body with the striking look of a quilted maple top finished in Emerald Green. The fixed PRS Stoptail bridge enhances resonance and tuning stability while the Wide Thin neck profile provides a fast, comfortable playing experience across the entire fingerboard.
PRS Custom 22 Tone and Playability
This guitar has been upgraded with a matched set of Bare Knuckle Nailbomb neck and bridge humbuckers, replacing the original PRS pickups, which are not included. The result is a powerful, articulate voice with excellent note separation, rich harmonic content, and outstanding dynamic response. A 3 way toggle paired with master volume and tone controls keeps operation intuitive while covering everything from expressive cleans to aggressive high gain tones.
Professional Upgrades
In addition to the pickup upgrade, the electronics have been modified with a Precision Music Technologies V Treb Variable Treble Bleed Bypass Circuit. This allows the guitar to retain clarity and high end detail as the volume is rolled back, making it an exceptionally versatile instrument for players who rely on their volume control for shaping gain and dynamics.
Condition
This 2005 example is in very good pre owned condition. It shows only very light finish scratches on the top and back of the body along with very light oxidation on the gold hardware, all consistent with careful ownership and normal use.
