Designed for Eric Gales, the MXR Raw Dawg Overdrive takes its inspiration from a classic overdrive circuit known for grit and crunch. MXR reworked that foundation by balancing the midrange and increasing the available gain, giving the Raw Dawg a sweeter and more natural sound even when the Drive is turned up.
Classic Overdrive with Balanced Midrange
This is an overdrive built to bring plenty of character without relying on an overly pronounced midrange. The combination of balanced mids and additional gain gives the Raw Dawg its own take on a familiar overdrive recipe. It can handle lower gain drive duties while offering enough range to turn up the heat when you want more crunch.
Simple Three Knob MXR Controls
Output, Tone and Drive controls keep operation simple. Output sets the overall level, Tone shapes the response and Drive determines how much overdrive is added. It is a straightforward layout that makes dialing in the pedal quick and intuitive.
Compact MXR Mini Overdrive Pedal
The Raw Dawg packs its custom circuit into an MXR mini housing, making it an easy fit when pedalboard space is valuable. This pre owned example is in very good condition with no visible damage and no modifications. Velcro is applied to the bottom.
