Attack, Release, Ratio, Input, and Output controls provide considerably more authority over compression than the typical one or two knob design, allowing everything from gentle peak control to deliberately squashed compression.

Transparent Bass Compression and Constant Headroom

The M87 is designed around transparent compression, allowing the natural dynamics of your bass to remain intact until the signal reaches the compression threshold. Constant Headroom Technology provides plenty of headroom and is intended to keep performance clear while tightening dynamics. This makes the pedal useful when you want compression to do its job without turning it into the most obvious part of your sound.

Attack Release and Ratio Controls

Dedicated Attack and Release controls let you determine how quickly the compressor reacts and recovers, while the Ratio control determines the intensity of the compression. Input sets the signal level feeding the compression circuit and Output lets you establish the final level leaving the pedal. Together, these controls make it possible to dial in subtle limiting, firmer dynamic control, or more pronounced compression effects.

Ten LED Gain Reduction Meter

A ten LED gain reduction display gives you immediate visual feedback on how hard the compressor is working. That is particularly useful when making fine adjustments because you can see when your signal crosses the compression threshold rather than relying entirely on guesswork.
