KHDK Annihilator II Octave Pedal

There is subtle, and then there is the KHDK Annihilator II. Created with Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, this limited edition analog effects pedal combines an octave down effect and independent boost with a glow in the dark enclosure. It is a pedal designed to take your original guitar signal and give it considerably more sinister company.

Analog Octave Down and Octatone Control

The Annihilator II splits your guitar signal into three paths, giving you direct signal, octave down tone and boost. The Direct control adjusts the level of your original unaffected signal, while the Octave control brings in an analog signal shifted one octave down. The Octatone control is an active sweepable low pass filter dedicated exclusively to that octave signal. Turn it one direction for a smoother, deeper sub bass character or the other for a more aggressive, synth like voice. Importantly, Octatone leaves the direct signal alone.

Independent Guitar Boost

The Boost circuit acts on the combined signal paths and can be engaged independently with its own footswitch. That makes the Annihilator II considerably more useful than a one trick octave box. You can balance your original signal and octave effect, shape the character of the octave, then bring in the boost when you want the complete mixture to step forward.

Limited Edition Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein Pedal

Only 250 Annihilator II pedals were produced in this limited edition, each originally accompanied by a numbered certificate signed by Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein. This example includes its original signed Certificate of Evil, number 142. The pedal was built in the KHDK workshop in Prague and features true bypass switching and a glow in the dark finish.
