The 2021 Gretsch G9200 Boxcar round-neck resonator delivers that earthy, rootsy tone perfect for blues, folk, and slide players. With its laminated mahogany body and vintage semi-gloss finish, this resonator brings punch, projection, and visual appeal in equal measure. The hand-spun Ampli-Sonic spider cone provides authentic tonal depth with great response and midrange clarity.

Comfortable Neck for Classic Playability

A soft “V”-profile mahogany neck and 25” scale give this guitar a natural feel whether you're fretting chords or gliding a slide. The padauk fingerboard features 19 medium jumbo frets on a 15.75” radius, with a bone nut set at a traditional 1.75” width. It’s a neck that stays nice and comfortable in the hand, it's great for playing long gigs and extended recording sessions.

Condition and Wear Details

This 2021 pre-owned G9200 shows notable signs of playwear that contribute to its character. There is patina and scratching on the resonator cone, finish wear on the upper bout bass side, back of the body, and side of the body near the treble-side contour. Wear is visible on the neck around the 6th, 5th, and 4th frets, along with additional finish wear on the side of the neck at the 5th fret. The nut slot on the bass side has minor adhesive residue, and there is a small dent on the top of the headstock. All cosmetic, with no effect on playability or tone.

This model features Gretsch's Ampli-Sonic spider cone with an ebony-tipped maple bridge for that signature resonator snap. The nickel-plated poinsettia cover-plate adds a vintage touch, while the trapeze tailpiece and Grover Sta-Tite tuners offer tuning stability and old-school appeal.
