Version 2 builds upon the original OCD design with a Class A configured discrete 2N5457 JFET input stage that increases input impedance for improved dynamics and interaction with both single coil and humbucking pickups. An updated output buffer helps maintain consistent tone throughout complex pedalboards while reducing loading on the clipping stage, resulting in increased sustain and rich harmonic overtones that bloom naturally as notes decay.
