Gated Bass Fuzz With Parallel Blend Control

This is not your polite, predictable fuzz. The Degrade is a distortion leaning gated fuzz that thrives in the awkward space between control and collapse. It behaves strangely with certain digital pedals and even the occasional classic stompbox. That unpredictability is part of the design. Embrace the weird. Make some noise. You have been warned. With the Mix control at 100 percent effect, you are firmly in gated fuzz territory. It is tight, percussive, and palm mute friendly with a distinct cutoff character. Roll the Mix all the way down and it becomes more of a harmonic enhancer, subtly thickening your clean tone. Between roughly 5 to 15 percent, you get a parallel clean overdrive blend. From 16 to 40 percent, it leans more toward distortion with clean clarity riding underneath. Push past 40 percent and it circles right back to fuzz with just a hint of clean, eventually landing on full blown distortion flavored fuzz. One knob, many personalities.

Clean Filter Control for Precise High End Shaping

The Clean Filter control adjusts how much treble and upper midrange from the clean signal is allowed into the blend. At minimum, it barely attenuates anything in the human audible frequency range. At maximum, it attenuates everything above the selected frequency at a rate of 8 dB per octave or 20 dB per decade. It is a single order filter, offering a gentle but highly effective slope. Anywhere between minimum and maximum progressively shapes the upper frequencies of your clean blend with precision.

Interactive Gain and Tone Circuit

The Tone control shapes the fuzz EQ in familiar fashion. Turn it counter clockwise to roll off highs. Turn it clockwise to reduce lows. The Gain control behaves as expected at lower settings, but things get interesting when you push it. With energetic input and higher gain levels, the circuit can overload itself, creating awkward, difficult to repeat glitches and sputters. This is a gated fuzz. You will lose some sustain. That sharp cutoff is part of the character and part of the fun. This pre owned unit shows light wear from use and includes the original box and sticker. No power supply is included.
