The Boss NS 1X is designed to control unwanted noise while keeping the character of your guitar or bass signal intact. Boss MDP processing works with your signal in real time, making this a particularly useful choice for players dealing with high gain rigs, noisy pedal chains, or simply more hiss and hum than they are willing to tolerate.

Three Noise Suppression Modes

The NS 1X offers Reduction, Gate, and Mute modes. Reduction provides versatile noise suppression for general use, while Gate is intended for the fast response required by high gain playing. Mute does exactly what the name suggests, silencing the instrument signal when the pedal is engaged. Threshold, Decay, and Damp controls give you direct control over how the suppression responds rather than forcing you into a one size fits all setting.

Noise Reduction for High Gain Pedalboards

A Send and Return loop allows the NS 1X to work directly with the noisy section of a pedal chain, which can be especially handy when distortion and other high gain effects are responsible for the racket. A color coded reduction meter provides immediate visual feedback, so you can actually see what the pedal is doing while dialing it in.
