The SLOB is Blammo’s take on the classic COB (Clean Octave Blend) circuit originally made by Prescription Electronics. A reimagined version of the analog octave fuzz famously used by Hendrix, the SLOB adds thoughtful upgrades and a few modern conveniences without losing the chaotic soul of its forebear. It's a go-to for players who want to blend rich fuzz textures with their clean tone and summon that unmistakable analog octave sting.

Clean Signal Meets Upper Octave Fuzz

The SLOB delivers a mid-gain analog octave-up fuzz that you can blend with your dry guitar signal. That blend control is the key, it lets you retain articulation while laying a searing octave fuzz on top. It’s gritty but musical, capable of subtle shimmer or full frontal fuzz assault depending on your mix.

Upgraded for Reliability and Pedalboard Use

Blammo has modernized the build with a no-click, relay-based true bypass switch rated for three times the cycle life of traditional footswitches. The enclosure has been slimmed down and optimized with top-mounted in, out, and power jacks to save precious space on your board. Power filtering has been reinforced to reduce hiss and hum, and a polarity protection diode has been added for peace of mind.

Handcrafted Details

Like all Blammo builds, the SLOB is hand-wired in Portland, Oregon using high-quality components, board-mounted Alpha pots with dust covers, and Teflon-coated off-board wiring. A UV-printed graphic and green LED indicator round out this rugged boutique unit, built for serious play and sonic experimentation.

Pre-Owned With Character

This unit is pre-owned and shows very minor surface wear along the sides and top. Velcro is applied to the bottom for pedalboard readiness. It functions perfectly and includes the original box and sticker.
