This 1967 Fender AB763 Super Reverb offers iconic clean headroom and lush spring reverb beloved by players for decades. Housed in its original Tolex covering with a replaced grill cloth, this combo delivers that unmistakable late-60s Fender tone. The amp retains most of its original AB763 circuitry and a tube chart stamped “QG” (June 1967) and model “51,” ensuring authentic period.

AB763 Circuit Design and Tone

Powered by the classic AB763 circuit, this Super Reverb responds dynamically to your playing touch. It’s been fully serviced in-house by Five Star Guitars: filter caps upgraded to Sprague Atom, cathode resistor on V4 replaced, tremolo bias cap replaced with Sprague, and the original two-prong power cable and “death cap” removed in favor of a grounded three-prong IEC power cable. A brand new JJ Electronics GZ34 rectifier tube was installed to maintain vintage sag characteristics while improving reliability.

Speaker Configuration and Performance

This combo features four 10-inch speakers—three original Fender units and one Eminence speaker that codes date to the 20th week of 1982. Whether you’re playing clean rhythm, driven blues, or pedal-enhanced textures, the speaker load and cabinet design provide even dispersion and ample projection for studio and stage.

Restoration and Technical Upgrades

Every potentiometer has been cleaned and key solder joints reflowed to ensure consistent performance and noise-free operation. The grill cloth has been replaced to protect the speakers and complement the vintage aesthetic. Filter and Trem BIAS caps that were replaced during servicing are included. On toggle switch was replaced at some point in history as well as a few screws and other minor parts. Orange jewel has replaced the original.
