Enhanced Low Gain Response and Touch Sensitivity

One of the standout improvements in the mk2 is its refined low gain resolution. Lower gain settings offer increased precision and a wider range of usable tones, making it easier to dial in everything from edge of breakup grit to smooth transparent drive. The carefully tuned asymmetrical 3 diode clipping stage responds beautifully to picking attack and fretting dynamics, delivering a fluid and musical playing experience that feels alive beneath your hands. Chords retain impressive articulation while lead lines sustain with warmth and harmonic richness.

Selectable Clipping Modes for Greater Versatility

The legendary JRC4558D chip remains the crown jewel of this circuit, the same style of chip found in the most sought after vintage overdrive circuits. JAM expands on that classic formula with the addition of a no diode clipping mode that opens the pedal up dramatically. This new clipping option removes diode clipping entirely for a more open, dynamic and amp like response with increased headroom and note separation. The result is a pedal capable of covering classic mid pushed overdrive tones as well as more transparent and responsive textures.

Dual Footswitch Performance Functionality

For the first time, the Tubedreamer platform includes a dedicated footswitch for engaging the high gain stage independently, transforming the pedal into a far more flexible live performance tool. Dual internal trimmers allow independent output level adjustment for the high gain stage in each clipping mode, making it easy to fine tune boost levels or precisely balance output between settings. A selectable power on state also lets players choose whether the pedal powers up engaged or bypassed depending on their rig requirements.
