The Redland 15 takes a seemingly straightforward 15 watt tube combo and gives it a surprising amount of range. Powered by 6V6 output tubes, this single channel amp moves comfortably from crystalline cleans into thick, muscular overdrive. There is a touch sensitive quality to the response that makes the amp feel connected to the guitar and your picking hand rather than simply making everything louder.

Powerful Two Band EQ and Power Scaling

The two band EQ is considerably more interesting than the control count might suggest. The Bass control sweeps a mid scoop across a broad range while the Treble control provides a steep lowpass roll off. Add a touch of negative feedback and the result is an amp designed for a fat, expressive response with plenty of control over where the guitar sits. Tube power scaling lets you move from the full headroom of the amp down to much lower volume levels while increasing gain as the available power is reduced.

Benson Custom Ceramic 12 Inch Speaker

A great amp deserves the right speaker and the Redland 15 is loaded with a 12 inch Benson Custom Ceramic developed with Weber Speakers specifically for Benson amps. Its ceramic design has a British influenced voice and adds compression as it is pushed, helping overdrive and distortion stay smooth and controlled. The speaker is rated at 30 watts and 8 ohms with a 50 ounce magnet.

Built In Reverb and Expressive Tube Tone

Onboard reverb rounds out the package without getting in the way of what makes the Redland 15 interesting in the first place. This is an electric guitar combo built around touch, dynamics and the interaction between guitar, tubes and speaker. Whether you want clean headroom or a cranked response at more manageable levels, the power scaling and unusually flexible EQ give you plenty of room to find the sweet spot.
