Vintage Sound, Modern Components

The Thagomizer I is a modified clone of the Colorsound Power Boost, featuring modern resistors and film capacitors while utilizing NOS BC169 and BC184 transistors and ceramic capacitors to preserve the original tone. Steggo Studios has added a volume knob to the design, allowing you to control the overall output of the pedal, giving you more flexibility in shaping your sound. The result is an overdrive/boost pedal that offers the best of both worlds?vintage sound with modern convenience.

18V Power Using a Standard 9V Supply

The Thagomizer I runs on 18V for that classic power boost sound, thanks to an onboard charge pump that converts 9V to 18V internally. This means you can power the pedal using a standard 9V power supply (not included), without needing to use boutique power supplies or multiple batteries. The charge pump ensures clean, reliable power, delivering consistent tone and performance every time.

Hand-Crafted with a Personal Touch

Each Thagomizer I is carefully hand-crafted in Oregon by Steggo Studios, with a combination of commercially produced and hand-etched through-hole circuit boards. The pedal?s unique dinosaur-themed enclosure adds a playful aesthetic, making it stand out visually on any pedalboard.
