Morgan D Series Dreadnought Mahogany: A Timeless Acoustic Workhorse
Introducing the Morgan D Series Dreadnought, a guitar built to last a lifetime and designed to deliver powerful, resonant tones that speak to the heart of blues and folk music. This dreadnought is a robust instrument that boasts a booming voice with rich bass tones, perfectly balanced by clear and articulate trebles. Whether you're strumming chords or picking out melodies, this guitar will carry your sound with the warmth and depth that only high-quality materials can produce.
Crafted for Superior Sound
The Morgan D Series features a AAAA South American (Honduran) Mahogany body that provides a strong and resonant tone. The top is made from Sitka Spruce, a wood renowned for its versatility and ability to produce a broad dynamic range. This combination of tonewoods gives the guitar its characteristic sound?bold and rich with excellent projection.
The neck is made of mahogany and features a comfortable C-profile, making it easy to play for extended periods. The neck is attached to the body with a traditional dovetail joint, ensuring stability and excellent transfer of vibrations from the neck to the body.
Attention to Detail
The ebony fingerboard is smooth and durable, with 20 frets that show only minor wear, primarily in the first position on the B string. The fingerboard is adorned with 1.5 mm aluminum dot markers, and the headstock features a beautiful inlay of mother-of-pearl and abalone, adding a touch of elegance to this sturdy instrument. The wood marquetry "M" rosette around the soundhole is a subtle yet striking detail that highlights the craftsmanship involved in creating this guitar.
The Tusq nut and saddle ensure precise intonation and a clear, ringing tone, while the ebony belly bridge provides a stable platform for the strings, enhancing the guitar's sustain and overall tonal quality.
Built to Last
Despite a few cosmetic blemishes this guitar remains structurally sound and ready for years of playing. The UV-cured polyester finish, different from the current polyurethane used in production, offers a durable layer of protection while allowing the natural beauty of the wood to shine through.
The nickel sealed gear tuners ensure stable tuning and are designed to last, just like the rest of the instrument. The tortoiseshell tear drop pickguard adds a classic touch.

This guitar is in very good condition and has undergone a full in-store professional inspection and setup. The neck is nice and straight, fits comfortably in the hand and exhibits only gentle fretwear (most notably in the first position on the B string.). Cosmetically, there are several small dings to the top, most noticable around the pickguard, a dent on the back at the lower bout, a ding to the bass side of the body, and an amount of overall playwear/superficial scratching to the body and headstock as can be seen in photos.ÿThis guitar ships fully insured with signature required.
