The JHS Unicorn V2 takes the lush, pulsating sound of classic photocell-based vibe effects and enhances it with modern features, including tap tempo and external control options. This fully analog pedal captures the essence of legendary tracks by Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, and Robin Trower while offering the versatility and reliability needed for today’s players.

Built with true analog photocell circuitry, the Unicorn V2 replicates the warm, touch-sensitive tones of vintage vibe pedals. Whether you choose the Uni-Vibe® mode or the vibrato setting using the Dry/Wet toggle switch, the Unicorn delivers authentic modulation with dynamic response.

Advanced Tempo Control for Rhythmic Precision

The Unicorn V2 is the first fully analog vibe pedal to feature tap tempo, allowing you to sync the modulation rate with ease. The Ratio knob provides quarter note, dotted eighth, and triplet rhythmic subdivisions, giving you the tools to craft precise and expressive effects. The onboard LED indicator displays the tempo, even when the pedal is bypassed.

External Control for Real-Time Adjustments

Take your performance to the next level with external control options. The side-mounted Tap/Expression TRS jack lets you use an expression pedal to control the rate in real-time or sync the Unicorn with other tap-controlled pedals for cohesive effects across your rig. An internal mini-switch allows you to configure the TRS jack for either tap or expression functionality.

Compact and Easy to Use

Housed in a smaller enclosure than its predecessor, the Unicorn V2 is pedalboard-friendly and straightforward to operate. Four knobs—two for tone, two for speed—and a mini-toggle switch are all you need to unlock a world of modulated tones.

This pedal works nicely as intended and is in excellent condition, exhibiting only very gentle external wear and has had velcro applied to the bottom as can be seen in photos.
