The Unlatch mode switches the pedal to momentary bypass only engaging the effect while the switch is held down. Latch mode lets you toggle between bypass and effected by pressing the footswitch while Bypass lets you do the same thing but also disengages the bucket-brigade delay (BBD) chips when the effect is off. Using Latch or Unlatch makes it sound much smoother when engaging the effect since the BBD chips are already processing your audio signal.
