Join the Five Star Guitars Team as a Vocal Instructor!

About Us

Five Star Guitars was established in 1998. We are an award-winning, locally-owned music store specializing in music education, stringed instruments, and repair services. We were named NAMM's Dealer of the Year in 2020 and Small Business Persons of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2016. We work closely with top manufacturers and support music programs both locally and nationally. Our core values—community, positive experiences, and a commitment to lifelong learning—reflect our passion for making music accessible and inspiring for everyone.

About Our Lessons Program

Our teaching team consists of 8 instructors, offering one-on-one lessons in guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo, piano, voice, and drums. We teach students of all ages and skill levels, helping them reach their musical goals through personalized curriculum and teaching styles.

Since 2011, our Student Concerts have been a primary focus. We discarded the typical solo recital format in favor of a collaborative concert. Every song features students from multiple instructors. Our instructors collaborate synchronously and asynchronously throughout the entire process–from setlist creation and song assignments to dress rehearsal and the final concert. Each show averages 130 students performing 45 songs.
