With 121 sounds arranged across 11 types and 11 variations, it gives guitar and bass players access to everything from leads and bass sounds to organs, strings, pads, bells, effects and rhythmic sequences. Better still, there is no special pickup required.

Polyphonic Synth Sounds for Guitar and Bass

The SY-1 is polyphonic, so you are not limited to single note synth lines. Chords are fair game as well. A dedicated Guitar and Bass switch optimizes the synth engine for either instrument, while the Tone, Depth, Effect and Direct controls provide a straightforward way to shape and blend sounds without diving into programming menus.

Easy Synth Pedal Controls

This is where the SY-1 really shines as a pedal rather than simply a synthesizer squeezed into a stompbox. Select a sound type and variation, adjust it to taste and play. The Effect and Direct controls independently balance the synth and normal instrument signals, making it easy to decide just how far down the synth rabbit hole you want to go.

Flexible Pedalboard Integration and Expression Control

A built in send and return loop provides additional options for integrating the SY-1 with the rest of a pedalboard. The pedal also supports an external footswitch or expression pedal for additional real time control. The Hold function can sustain a synth sound while you continue playing your regular guitar over it, opening up some seriously interesting performance possibilities.

2023 Pre-Owned Boss SY-1 Condition

This 2023 Boss SY-1 is pre owned and remains in very good condition. There are some minor scuffs visible on the face and sides of the pedal. It is stock with no modifications. No accessories or power supply are included.

Specifications

Year: 2023

Condition: Pre owned, very good

Damage: Minor scuffs on the face and sides

Modifications: None

Synth sounds: 121

Sound types: 11

Variations per type: 11

Instrument modes: Guitar and Bass

Bypass: Buffered bypass

Controls: Pedal switch, Guitar and Bass switch, Type knob, Variation knob, Tone knob, Depth knob, Effect knob, Direct knob

Indicator: Check indicator with battery check function

Input: 1/4 inch

Output: 1/4 inch

Send: 1/4 inch

Return: 1/4 inch

Expression and control connection: Stereo 1/4 inch

Power: 9 volt alkaline battery or compatible AC adaptor

Current draw: 115 mA

Expected alkaline battery life: Approximately 2 hours under continuous use

Power supply included: No

Accessories included: None

This pre owned effects pedal ships fully insured with signature required.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0899/5804/files/Pre_Owned_Boss_SY_1_Synthesizer-6ac5893a561ae.jpg?v=1791334025
